Gelato On The Danny & Espresso Bar: A Delightful Gelato Experience in Toronto

The service and gelato were great! Each person I encountered was friendly and helpful. The owners are very talkative (in the best way possible) & you’re bound to have a great conversation with them! They have a number of interesting flavours including pistachio, hazelnut, an interesting fig/walnut combination and numerous vegan options. They also have a white chocolate cranberry biscotti which is good too. There is outdoor and indoor seating. I sat outside and they kindly brought my dog ice water and treats, which we greatly appreciated. Almost all of the flavours are safe for dogs, too! 10/10 from my pup and I!

Owners are fantastic, when you come in it’s dinner and a show. They take the time to talk and joke around with you, gave samples of the gelato, and helped recommend based on palate. Gelato was delicious, we tried the Ferraro Roche, pistachio and café. All three were great. We will definitely be making the trek to come back!

First time here and the people were friendly and ready to talk about their products! it was also my first time trying pistachio icecream let alone gelato and it was amazing; dense creamy not too sweet perhaps even a small amount of pistachio butter? my partner got the nocciola and i think the two nut gelatos together are magical. looking forward to coming back!

This is a great unassuming mom and pop shop. The owners were fun, friendly folk. Their coffee bar selection is wide enough to include London Fogs, a personal favourite. I asked to have it made with vanilla syrup and oat mills and it is delicious! Their gelato counter looks amazing and I look forward to returning for some in the future!

This is my favourite gelato (and more) shop! The owners are the nicest and the flavours are so delicious. The mimosa and pink grapefruit gelatos are highlights for me when they have either - the flavours are always changing - but I’ve never had a waffle cone here I didn’t enjoy. Their home-baked almond cookies are so nice with a latte. And their arancini are the best comfort food. They have a petite patio out front and indoor tables too. I love coming here. I don’t know quite how to explain it but it’s the kind of place that just makes you feel welcome and cared for.

No joke, this is the best gelato I have ever tried, and I have been to Europe many times. Their gelato is so tasty and uses real flavors, and the owners are fantastic. Cannot recommend enough

Pistachio gelato was absolutely one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and packed with authentic pistachio flavor. You can really taste the quality ingredients, and the texture was perfectly smooth. The service was also outstanding—super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The owner took their time to explain the different flavors which made the experience feel really personal and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great gelato and warm, genuine service. I’ll definitely be back to get more pistachios!
